Currently I am putting my time into writing projects that I love. My special subject that was my PhD Thesis is "Electronic Language". My name is Ruth Schaffer and I'll be keeping you updated on the latest news and developments in Biotechnology, Allergies and Pregnancy. I have a Master's Degree in Microbiology and previously been been teaching at the University of the Philippines. I also spent more than five years at the International Rice Research Institute, working on paddy soil microbiology and biochemistry, followed by a brief stint in a university in Germany working on iron-reducing bacteria from marine sediments. Currently, I am a freelance writer and copy-editor for scientific manuscripts, based in Singapore, one of top centers for life science research in Southeast Asia.
