Innovative Modular Solutions (IMS), this time too, bags an award by the Modular Building Institute at a convention held at Las Vegas, Nevada. IMS gets the Honorable Mention Award for having constructed a temporary modular building for Anoka Middle School for the Arts in Minnesota. It won over others on parameters like architectural excellence, technical innovation, cost effectiveness, energy efficiency, and time taken for project completion.

The awarded 9,800 sq.ft temporary modular building designed by ATS&R and constructed by IMS over two and a half months includes classrooms for Art, Science, Social Studies, Music, Theatre and Band. Additionally it has mechanical and technology rooms and restrooms. Rooftop HVAC units are added to the modular building to improve the overall appearance and increase energy efficiency. All classrooms are equipped with carbon dioxide sensors and programmable thermostats that assure quiet, comfortable, consistent airflow and optimal air quality. This also allows the district to control energy costs when the building is not in use.
