Wireless forecasts untethered?

Thanks to Computerworld Cartoons by John Klossner we have this commentary on what is quite a serious issue. Are users and revenues really untethered as depicted in the cartoon? Rather more that there are quadrillion users but Kazillion dollars in potential revenues that never seem to eventuate!

See other cartoons by John Klossner at www.jklossner.com/ -- my real favorite is a picture of the Solar System with each of the planets labelled, Mercury, Venus, Google, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn.
