Why your plane was late last time you flew
Filed in archive Lifestyle by Elwyn Jenkins on June 3, 2007

Ever been stuck in an airport waiting for your delayed plane? If you have ever traveled through USA airports you certainly will have come across delayed flights!

Well, just take one look at what the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) sees in a day. (The FAA's job is the advancement, safety and regulation of civil aviation in USA and liaising with similar bodies for worldwide transportation.)

The video above is just one of these visualizations showing what it looks like to be monitoring traffic in USA on any given day. Just take a look at how complex the air traffic movements are in a day!

Being a "road warrior" just take a step back for a moment before you complain of delayed flights again and think more of the safety issues. I would rather be late than dead!
