What is Office 2.0? Office 2.0 made simple August 8th, 2007

If you are like me, I am often presented with an article in which there is a reference to Office 2.0. Most times the writer uses the term as if all readers knew exactly what that means and how it has anything to do with the article with which I am presented.
The best proponent that I have seen on the office 2.0 front is the site "IT|Redux" where it has a whole blog about Office 2.0, examples of what it means by using Office 2.0 services and a whole database of Office 2.0 software and services.
Office 2.0 is the new office in which I immerse myself being an office "on-the-go". In this new office all I require to do office things is a laptop/computer, a browser, and a connection to the Internet. To do office things I do not need to download software ever again, meaning that I do not install applications on my computer.
The best examples of Office 2.0 software/services is Gmail, Zoho services, and ThinkFree.
Want to see all the software/services that Office 2.0 proponents have to offer, then go to the Office 2.0 Database.
The Office 2.0 Environment can best be described as a computing environment in which I use only a web browser, a connection to the Internet and a bunch of web services/software that I can connect to from any computer anywhere.
