Web Applications Go Mainstream
Filed in archive Online Services by Elwyn Jenkins on October 4, 2007
According to a new survey web applications have now gone mainstream. It appears that a survey of 2,000 adults who use a PC shows that there are many more PC users than just the early adopters who are now using web applications.

Web Applications Go Mainstream

As identified before on this site the idea of Web 2.0 is the idea that you use the Internet as an application platform. So whether you want to word process, edit images, build a website, or any other application, instead of going to a store and buying software, or downloading an application from a web store, you go to a site that is the application you need.

So if you haven't started on using web applications you are possibly being left behind in the technology you use. The benefits of web 2.0 is that you can work from any computer, anywhere. If you do use web applications, it is possible that you need to look for more applications so that you can truly work from anywhere at any time.
