Starbucks moves to AT&T

Filed in archive Wireless on February 16, 2008

Another day, another cup of coffee

To those who love Starbucks, this may be good news to you. Starbucks moves away from T-Mobile and shifts to AT&T, as reported in Computerworld. What does this mean to road-warriors?

The deal will benefit Starbucks Card holders and Wi-Fi users who are among the 12 million people who subscribe to AT&T broadband service, according to the companies. Starbucks Card holders will get up to two hours of free Wi-Fi service in Starbucks shops per day, and AT&T broadband customers will get unlimited service.

One can wonder if Apple and the Starbucks-iPhone deal has anything to do with this deal. What do you think?
