From the description of this product, sony aims to be able to charge any USB device using AA batteries, anywhere and anytime. Seems a bit flaky to me in all honesty as the original author did raise the point of how two AA batteries isn't much in terms of horsepower to fully charge your portable USB devices. And besides, if you did want to charge your mobile phone you could always (1) bring an extra battery or (2) bring the REAL charger.
