SMS to be replaced by mobile email? July 29th, 2007
With the move towards enabling mobile phones to handle email, researchers suggest that SMS messaging may become a thing of the past.
When you compare the cost of sending an SMS message against the cost of sending and receiving emails on a mobile phone SMS is shown to be a more expensive way of sending small messages.
Now many more phones are being fitted with email facilities so that email by mobile will be adopted by a wider group of people, over the largely business suited group using mobile email today.
