Securing your Macbook Air February 16th, 2008
The new Apple Macbook Air does not have the popular kensington security lock port for securing it against theft. Whilst it is lightweight and easy to carry, it is not convenient to carry when you need to leave your desk for a bathroom break (don't ever leave your notebook on the table in a public place!). So how do you secure it?
Short of gluing a sensor on that gorgeous aluminum case, the only other recourse is to use the USB to secure it. Good thing that there is a product from SE-KURE that provides a USB-based solution. What makes it even better is that it is a pass-through USB contraption – so your precious single USB port will still be usable even with this security cable. I wonder how much this critter costs.

I just ordered a “macBracket” at http://macbracket.com. Unfortunately they don’t have a solution yet for the new MBA.
