Online Services
by Elwyn Jenkins on September 5, 2007
Online Storage services vary considerably. There are the really open storage services that enable you to access your files through using any browser, or there are those services that use a proprietary pieces of software.
The Web 2.0 Directory from eConsultant provides a list of 30 or more online storage and transfer services.
It seems one of the best services is OmniDrive recommended by Read/Write Web (10 Must Have Online Office Apps), Mashable (80+ File hosting and Sharing Sites), and Webware (Box.Net Rolols Out Microsoft Office Web Storage Plug-in).
OmniDrive provides you access, editing and sharing of your files from anywhere with just a web browser although you can download a client for Windows or Mac users. You can also store files created by other online services, such as files you create in Zoho applications.
