Nokia-Apple battle heats up with Ovi PIM support   September 13th, 2008

nokia's Ovi takes on Apple's MobileMe with the new file sharing services as well as PIM functionality (calendar and contacts syncing) for Nokia's phones. Whilst this space is a huge market considering that each mobile phone provider has an exclusive and proprietary solution, I'd prefer to have a solution that works on all fronts – meaning, on Linux, Mac and Windows as well as on the iPhone, Windows Mobile and Symbian (and soon, Android).

I just wish that there is a native app that will allow users to manage their files, rather than using a browser on your phone. That way, you can keep a list of your files locally, without needing to go online and then going online when you already know which files you really need. Saves you time and money, right?
