Mobile Phones

Apple announced the availability of the iphone sdk a few days ago and to date, it has recorded over 100,000 downloads already. Developers are excited to develop applications for the next mobile platform and sell them over the AppStore that will soon be added on iTunes Store. Even Sun Microsystems seems to be interested in providing JavaME on the iPhone - now that I want to see.
To those who are outside of the iPhone supported carriers, the iPhone hackers community apparently has announced that it has jailbroken and unlocked the new iPhone firmware version 1.2 that came with the SDK. If this version ends up as the iPhone firmware version 2.0, with few modification, this June, then iPhone users still have hope of getting applications without going through the AppStore. :)
