New Features for Google Docs

Don't you just love it? Wow! The benefit of software as a service peeking its head up and showing us just what "Software as a Service" is really about.

What I am talking about is that Google Docs has new features and there is no download, installation or anything else as a user of Google Docs that I need to do to see these new features and to use them. The new software is updated by Google Docs technical team and hey presto it is there for all to use next time we log in. This is the benefit of software being provided as a central service.

So what are these new features?

Lifehacker introduces us to these new features:

The word count feature in Google Docs displays not only word, character, paragraph, and sentence counts, but also readability estimates, like Flesch Reading Ease, grade level, and readability index. God I love web-based feature pushes.

These are neat little tools to add to the already usable Google Docs. Follow the Lifehacker link as the Lifehacker article has some links for you to follow to find out more information about these new Google Docs feature.
