MusicLite: Brings together light and music May 20th, 2010
Osram Sylvania has made an effort to combine LED light and speakers. Dubbed as MusicLite, it comes with standard screw in socket fitting in regular cans for recessed lighting. This ten watt cluster of LED gives light equivalent to 65 watt reflector bulb and backs with 25 watt speaker.
The inherent characterizes of LED makes it a possibility as standard incandescent bulbs tends to generate too much heat for speaker in a similar can whereas compact fluorescent tubes occupy too much of space. It combines 65 watt equivalent light with stereo speakers accepting a wireless audio signal.
It will be sold in pairs with wireless audio transmitter reaching around ninety feet. It is being aimed at small businesses such as restaurants and homeowners looking at easily installed audio systems.
