MS Office vs OpenOffice
More and more people are finding OpenOffice and coming to the conclusion that OpenOffice can take the place of ms office.

The thing that really irks me is the heavy-handed approach Microsoft makes when you are just trialling software (as reported in a previous post on MS OneNote. It is this heavy handed approach that has not won Microsoft any favors. Now, after encountering this type of attitude towards my computer and my operating system, I am now out to replace anything Microsoft with an alternative.

So upon finding more than enough reports of people emigrating from MS Office to OpenOffice I decided to put together a little study of MS Office vs OpenOffice. You can find it masquerading as a Google Notebook Page titled "MS Office vs OpenOffice".

One new thing I learned today was that just as Firefox Open Browser has the capability of using third party extensions, OpenOffice also has the same capability. You will see these featured in the Google Notebook Page I mentioned above.
