Mobile Phones
by Elwyn Jenkins on October 21, 2007
A report suggests that by the end of 2008 over half the airliners in the world will be offering some type of mobile telephone service.
Just when you thought there was enough distracting noise on a plane, now you have to sit beside someone chattering on about nothing much. Hope they don't get the idea that shouting will make it easier for the other end to hear!
However, the price of this service may be simply too pricey to do much chattering. At around $3 per minute it might just cut conversations down to a mere few seconds . . . just enough to let home know the traveler is going to be late for supper, or that type of thing.
