I suppose this seems obvious once you know about it, but how do I improve my conversations with people at work, or with clients to ensure that I target those conversations on getting good outcomes?

One of the best self-improvement ideas is that to ensure people listen to what you have to say you need to reduce the amount of talking and increase the effectiveness of what you do say. There is a fine line between being effective and being blunt. Being blunt is too confronting while being short and effective in what you say have just enough good flavor to make people feel that you know what you are talking about.
