How much do your SMS messages cost?

How much are you paying for SMS messages on your mobile phone plan? Mobilejones in the article "You might be paying $1,000 per MB for SMS" suggests that SMS messages are a lot more expensive than you might think.

Regardless as to whether you are in the US or not the general idea applies to any mobile phone user. If you are charged for SMS messages the chances are that you are paying for both sending and receiving SMS messages and that you are paying a premium when you send SMS messages internationally.

Follow through the mathematics of SMS charging and insert your costs instead of those in this article and I think you will see that you maybe paying some exorbitant figure as illustrated in this article.

AND you thought SMS was cheap? No longer. I know that I am paying .15c per SMS. Now I know the real cost!
