Happy Fourth of July

The NameWire Blog wishes everyone a Happy Fourth of July!

But in addition to wishing everyone a Happy Fourth of July, a discussion about how we write and say dates ensues. This is rather an intriguing discussion which covers why we tend to say "Fourth of July" but "December 25th". Why do we swap these two around saying day and month in one and month and day in the other? Read Name Wire's article to see the whole argument and a reasoned response.

For the other half of my readers who do not live in USA, it is just a courtesy to remember our United States cousins on this day. Anyway, whatever your day today, make it a happy one!

Hey Elwyn, Great to see you. Can you please let me know whats happening with those 2 MP4′s my kids sent back to you. Seems you changed your phone number the day after the last time we talked (When you promised to ring back,,,remember).. Anyways, its been 6 mths, figured you had sorted out you China problems by now… If you can’t replace them, how about you refund the cash since the kids worked hard for that money. and well, thats what your emails said you would do if something like this happened. Nobody wants to go to fair trading, they’ll make both of us go to Canberra for the hearing!!!

Cheers
