Google’s Internet Phone November 7th, 2007
So Google is working on a, well at least Google is working on the software side of the phone and working in with manufacturers to make the hardware.
We know that the Google phone is going to be powered with a open source Linux variation, but exactly what it will do is still under wraps. But we do know that it won't be tied to one phone network and it will be Internet based, meaning that Google will be able to get its advertising on such a phone.
It is also slated to be made available worldwide, meaning that it will be available over a time, and not released at the one time in all countries. However, the internet is to make the Google phone available worldwide.
This is said to be made available around the second half of 2008. So there will be much speculation as it is being prepared for commercialization over the next year. Will it be worth the wait?
