Google shows off what Android is all about   May 31st, 2008

The war for the best mobile platform is still on-going and no one has been declared a winner… yet. Contenders such as Symbian, Limo, Apple's iPhone platform, Windows Mobile and other Linux-based mobile phone platforms are all jockeying for position. However, the recent Google Android demo might just pull the rug under the popular platforms in the market today. Check out the awesome map feature as demoed at Google I/O last week.

The question is – will Google get what the iPhone did not, i.e., features such as (1) SMS forwarding, (2) SMS saving, (3) Cut-and-Paste, and (4) VCard support, among other things?
