Gone to CeBit Sydney
Filed in archive Marketing on May 1, 2007
Along with fellow bloggers, Tim Malone and Laurel Papworth and of course the guys from Tomizone who have a promo stand, we are all off to CeBIT, the annual show that comes to town from Germany. (Remember the Tomizone article -- I will be going to see them and understand what this is all about further.)
According to Wikipedia CeBIT is the annual German show like no other. It is the world's largest technology show. Here is the bit from Wikipedia:
CeBIT was traditionally the computing part of the Hannover Fair, a big industry trade show held every year. It was first established in 1970, with the opening of the Hanover fairground's new Hall 1, then the largest exhibition hall in the world. However, in the 1980s the information technology and telecommunications part was straining the resources of the industry fair so much that it was given a separate trade show starting 1986, held four weeks earlier than the main Hanover Fair.
CeBit shows are held in four locations during each year:
* CeBIT Asia, in Shanghai, China
* CeBIT Australia, in Sydney
* CeBIT Eurasia, in Bilişim, Istanbul, Turkey
* CeBit Germany, in Hannover,
When I return from CeBIT, I will be fully charged up with new ideas for all of us Tech Without Wires creatures -- all us creatures that live out of a home office without wires, or creatures who spend a lot of time on the road strung out without wires.
