Gmail no longer free

Now, not only will emails bounce if you have more than 2.8GB of email in archives, you will be offered an extension to your email account for a fee. If you want 6GB then it will cost you $20 per year, 25GB for $75.00, and there are more ridiculous levels of 100Gb and 250GB for $250 and $500 respectively.
Google has got it wrong. I am not going to pay a $20 fee just to house archived emails some of which I will never want again. Yahoo has announced that all customers will have unlimited storage of emails with no fee attached.
So it pretty much looks like I will be firmly deleting emails in Gmail and resurrecting my Yahoo account that I have on idle and haven't used for the last couple of years since Gmail came. Tables have turned, and it looks like your email productivity tool is likely to be Yahoo Mail and not Gmail.
