Even McDonald’s is giving away free WiFi February 16th, 2008
Yesterday, I was walking in the mall with my youngest son and discovered that McDonald's in one of the new malls in Quezon City, Philippines, now provides free wifi access. I did not try it because we were in such a hurry but I find it convenient. I think McDonald's is matching what the local Burger King chain has been doing, i.e., providing free wifi for its patron. Competition is really good for us consumers.
I wonder if McDonald's also allows patrons to plug in their computers whilst using their wifi. I know that Burger King provides that service. 
Now, if only all other McDonald's branches will follow suit.
