Count Your Visitors: Google Analytics

Dimitris Gielis, along with most of us have welcomed the new Google Analytics. There are some highly useful tools to analyse visitors to webpages I publish and control.

Let us say you have a blog and you do not have a statistics package telling you the number of visitors to your blog, how long they stayed, in what part of the world they hail from and other details that might be useful so that you know how to write your blog. All you need to do is to take a little snippet of html and place that in the page(s) you wish to glean statistics from.

After awhile you will start seeing statistics in your Google Analytics page. As long as you have html access to a page you can use Google Analytics. So I use it on a little wiki a keep, as well as logging my blogging pages. Get far closer to your customers if you know some of the information GA can give you.
