Chumby: A Multimedia Device
Filed in archive Hardware by Elwyn Jenkins on November 11, 2007
Looks like manufacturers are still on the warpath to manufacturing the perfect human devices to handle multimedia stuff from across the net. Chumby is no exception, another device that can do video, music and all manner of stuff from across the Internet. Chumby uses widgets to then divide stuff into channels.

Chumby: A Multimedia Device

Chumby is wifi connected and can belch out videos and other stuff from wherever you want great stuff. It can be used with Facebook and other sites and produce a channel to be turned off and on when you want stuff from Facebook.

Besides all of this Chumby is also a Tom Tom like device that can give you directions to wherever you want to go.

Overall, it seems like just another tool to add to your arsenal of hardware devices. Personally I would want it to be also a telephone and a computing device to take me to any web address.
