Book Review: The 4 hour workweek August 4th, 2007

The 4-hour workweek by Timothy Ferris is a book with great promises in its title but fails to live up to these promises in The depths of the book.
While Blogclout have given this book a favorable review, partly because of Ferris' high flying lifestyle, it is very clear that Ferris does not actually live a 4 hour week himself.
The book is inspirational rather than a "how to do it manual"; I doubt that anyone through just reading the book would likely to be able to reduce their working hours to 4 hours a week.
If you have read self-help books before, this is one that takes a lot of good ideas that have been around for awhile, polished them up a little and re-presented these ideas in the guts of this book.
If you had to pay the US$19.95 for the book, I do not think that sort of money is worth it. But if you can get a used copy for about $9.00 and you are buying other books from Amazon making delivery slightly cheaper The 4 hour wrokweek may be just what you need to give yourself an inspirational lift.
