Belkin N1 Wireless Router

The Belkin N1 wireless router is one of the first wireless routers used for a home/office setting to use the new "N" specification.

The "802.11n" specification is meant to be a faster router than the "802.11g" or "802.11b" which are the older specifications for radio speed between the router and your devices.

The Belkin router actually has a composite of all these speeds and this delivers rather disappointing speeds with older devices connected to this router.

While CNET in its review "Belkin N1 Wirelss Router" shows some disappointment in actually achieving the higher speeds, this is a highly recommended router due to its ease of implementation and rock-solid support in getting the machine in operation.

There is a range of routers that you can use at home. It is a good idea to shop around a little as pricing on this unit varies between US$90 and US$130. Other units in competition with Belkin can also be a little less expensive than the Belkin N1.
