Mobile data transfer rates are improving rapidly with HSDPA/EV-DO seems to have a commanding lead. If you have not experienced HSDPA transfer speeds, then I pity you! Hahah. Kidding. Anyway, transferring data at broadband speeds might just kill the telco's DSL and cable Internet
services - however, competition is good and I am sure that DSL and cable internet will only improve and/or become cheaper. As reported by MobileTechNews, Nokia Siemens just tested their Internet-HSPA topping at 10.1 Mbps. Which is higher than the theoretical maximum HSPA rates of 7.2 Mbps. When these speeds become affordable and readily available, expect all computing devices to be built with these radios. The question now is - how does it affect the battery life of the device? :)
